POSITION: Adjunct Faculty
DEPARTMENT: EMU at Lancaster
I am originally from Utah, and after graduating from college I joined the Navy and spent just shy of 11 years as a surface warfare officer and meteorology and oceanography officer, achieving the rank of Lieutentant Commander. After leaving the Navy I attended the University of Maryland for my PhD. In 2000 I began teaching at Millersville University in Pennsylvania, from which I retired in 2023. Much of my time in the Navy was spent supporting aviation operations at sea and ashore. Teaching the meteorology class for the LOM-Aviation program combines elements of my two prior careers as a naval officer and meteorology professor.
